The 16 Commandments of Ifa:
1- Do Not Speak What You Do Not Know or Understand.
2- Do not perform a ritual for which you lack basic knowledge.
3- Do not teach humans the wrong paths, but the true ones.
4- Do not deceive people.
5- Do not pretend to be wise when you are not.
6- Do not be Egocentric (a clown).
7- Do not treat anyone with Malicious Intentions or be fake.
8- Do not break Taboo Prohibitions.
9- Always keep your working tools clean.
10- Keep the temple clean (your house).
11- Respect the weaker ones and treat them with respect.
12- Respect the elderly and the aged.
13- Respect moral laws (kings, judges, politicians).
14- Never betray a friend or a trusted person.
15- Never Reveal Secrets.
16- Respect those in important positions, godfathers and godmothers.
(It would be ideal if everyone who practices Ifa or has Ifa done would follow them.)
