📖 Patakí of Orisha Oko (Summary)

When the world was covered by Olokun's waters, men tried to reach the sky without success.

It was then that Oko, a farmer, created seven furrows in the earth and sowed plants of different colors. His work caught the attention of Olofin, who ordered a seven-colored bridge to be built for him to ascend to his presence.

After his intervention, Olokun was contained, and the earth became cultivable again.

Since then, Oko was recognized as Orisha Oko, and the rainbow (Oshumare) remained as a memory of that event.
